Important Immigration Question

Hello everyone, I hope we are enjoying the beginning of the summer. So, I have a personal situation involving immigration law (Visas) and that might be the only area I haven't practiced in yet, nor can I find a law school buddy who knows the answer either. Here is the situation...

I met this girl, 10 years younger than me, and she was beginning her senior year of college. She is aChinese citizen, in the US on a student visa (I-20?). Over the course of the school year, she became pregnant and we have decided to keep the baby and build on our relationship. She is 16 weeks pregnant now and our intention is for her to stay home until November (due date) and then continue to stay with the child until next September (2017) where she will go back to school for her MS or JD. One of the requirements for the student visa is that she is a full time student, which obviously is going to be difficult. My first question is whether there is any sort of clause that allows a foreign student on a student visa to take time off fpr medical reasons without nullifying their visa? If not, my second question becomes whether there is an alternative visa class we can apply for such as maybe a fiance visa or bearing US Citizen's Child? Third, marriage is on the table and that would solve my problems 1 & 2, but my final 2 questions are around the marriage status change. First, does anyone know if China allows their citizens to be a lawful permanent resident of the US without forfeiting Chinese Citizenship? Second, how long does it usually take for the status change to take place from Student to Spouse? Thank you so much for helping and God bless.
