Thriving biotechnology leader seeks first IP counsel for leadership role.  Expertise in life sciences IP (ideally molecular diagnostics and artificial intelligence) a must for this lawyer who will serve as a trusted advisor to business executives and scientists, and report to the GC. The IP Counsel will have responsibility for leading and implementing IP strategy, managing IP matters, counseling business leaders, patent portfolio management, IP transactions (including negotiating complex research collaborations and strategic partnerships), IP competitive intelligence, managing IP disputes and due diligence in support of transactions.  Experience establishing positive working relationships with scientific teams and a high degree of technical competency also essential.  Candidates must have: 6+ years’ experience (preferably law firm and in-house with a life sciences company), patent bar admission, current member in good standing of a state bar and a degree in life sciences (biology, chemistry, immunology, biochemistry or a degree relevant to biotechnology, preferably a graduate degree).  Ability to work full-time remotely from any geographic location.
