Employment Lawyer

   The Queens County District Attorney’s Office is seeking an experienced Employment Attorney.
 
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Advise senior management regarding the resolution of workplace issues, including, but not limited to, time accountability and leave (family, medical, disability, bereavement, and annual leave), as well as COVID-related issues.
Consult on confidential investigations involving employee grievances and misconduct.
Review and implement employment policies and practices, including, but not limited to, those regarding use of office equipment, property, and technology workplace violence, social media use, discrimination, and retaliation.
Work with union representatives and management to address labor issues and disputes.

Qualifications: Interested applicants must possess a J.D. degree, be an active member of the New York State bar in good standing, and a resident of New York State, and have at least 10 years post-J.D. experience. Applicants must also have:

Extensive experience in employment and discrimination law.
Experience with civil service law issues.
Strong oral and written advocacy skills.

Prior experience and knowledge of the New York City Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) policies and procedures preferred.
Salary commensurate with experience.
