Handle a wide range of real estate transactions, from term sheet through closing, including negotiation and drafting of transaction documents and performance and coordination of due diligence. Typical matters include purchases and sales for institutional and private equity investors (including office, retail, multi-family, industrial and seniors housing projects); office and retail leasing on behalf of landlords and tenants; financings (primarily from the borrower side); and assistance on real estate aspects of corporate mergers and acquisitions. Expected commitment of thirty to forty hours per week, with some flexibility for telecommuting.

Duties (not all attorneys will perform all the duties listed below):

Negotiate and draft transaction documents (letters of intent, purchase agreements, leases, loan agreements etc.)
Perform due diligence (including title and survey, land use permitting and contracts), including coordination of due diligence review by associates and paralegals
Conduct closings, including document preparation, signing, coordination of closing/post-closing activities
Adhere to a standard of ethics and maintain confidentiality of the firm and its clients
Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned

Experience Required:

Education:
J.D. or equivalent from an ABA-accredited law school (with a minimum grade point average of 3.0) and membership in good standing of the Massachusetts bar or ability to promptly waive in.

Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience working on commercial real estate transactions, including at least 5 years of experience at a mid- to large-size law firm.
