Associate (Senior) - International Litigation and Arbitration at Foley Hoag LLP (Washington, D.C.)

Perform senior role drafting pleadings, preparing testimony of witnesses/experts, and assisting in formulating strategic planning in cases representing sovereign States/State-owned enterprises in international litigation involving public international law and investor/State arbitration and cases representing sovereign States/State-owned enterprises and private parties in international commercial arbitrations and cross-border litigation.

Requirements

  • J.D. or equivalent
  • LL.M. or equivalent in Public International Law
  • 5 years in international arbitration/litigation, including 3 years in research/drafting/developing evidence/liaising with local counsel on common law, civil law and European Union law issues in international commercial arbitration and cross-border litigation, and 2 years advising governments/governmental entities on public international law and investment protections in bilateral/multilateral investment treaties (can be gained concurrently)
  • Admission to D.C. Bar
