Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking a patent associate with 2-5 years experience to join the Intellectual Property group in our Detroit office for our Mechanical & Electromechanical Technologies group. Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, or a related discipline, and have strong patent prosecution and counseling skills in addition to at least some familiarity with licensing, M&A due diligence, and IP litigation. Strong writing and research skills, top academics, and recent law firm experience required. To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from an ABA-approved law school and must be an active member being in continuous good standing of the Michigan Bar. Registration to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office also required.
