Attorney – Regulatory Compliance at Troutman Sanders LLP (Richmond, VA)

Troutman Sanders is looking for a junior level detail-oriented attorney to assist its growing consumer compliance practice. Preferred experience includes work with any detailed state and federal analysis of regulatory requirements and licensing schemes applicable to consumer-facing businesses. Previous focus on matters concerning the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act (RESPA), the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), the Equal Credit Opportunity Act (ECOA), the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), or state lending and retail installment sales act laws is preferred, but not required. Candidates must have superior writing ability, maturity, good communication skills and a minimum of 1 year of legal experience. Candidates must be licensed to practice law in the U.S. and in good standing, with a preference for the Virginia State Bar. This position ideally will be based out of the firm’s Richmond, Virginia office.
