The global law firm of K&L Gates seeks to hire a Tax associate to join their dynamic Seattle practice.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in state and local tax research, structuring transactions, and state tax controversies. Candidates with an LL.M. (Tax) degree are preferred and experience working with public accounting firms is a plus. We are seeking candidates who have experience working on U.S. state tax controversies, including audits and appeals, analyzing the state tax consequences of a variety of transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, partnership creation and transactions, private equity and venture capital investments, start up companies, and corporate and partnership life cycle events. In addition, experience with global indirect tax, credits and incentives, and high technology companies is desired.
