The growing Intellectual Property practice group of Williams Mullen is seeking an associate to join the firm’s Raleigh office. This position requires 2-5 years of prior intellectual property and trademark experience, including acquisition and enforcement of trademarks and copyrights, trademark portfolio management, prosecuting trademark applications and other transactional matters. Experience with intellectual property disputes, including in state and federal courts, before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board, and before arbitral panels in domain dispute resolution proceedings, as well as software licensing and e-commerce is highly desired. Academic training in electrical, chemical, and/or software engineering, or closely related field is a plus. Successful candidates will have excellent writing and analytical skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to work under pressure with multiple deadlines.
