Thompson Coburn is seeking a Registered Patent Attorney or Patent Agent in the Washington, D.C. office. Applicants must have 3-5 years of experience in preparation and prosecution of complex biopharma patent applications (including coordinating global prosecution through foreign associates), FTO, diligence, opinion work, and strategizing for biopharma clients. PhD in biotechnology-related field, e.g., molecular biology, microbiology, immunology, biochemistry, or similar. Applicants with an MS degree with relevant research experience in the biotech industry will also be considered. If candidate has more experience, position requirements will include some portable work or at least good prospects for marketing. Position will be integral to a growing a team-oriented, value driven innovator biopharma practice. This position is not open to candidates from recruiting agencies.
