Chapman and Cutler LLP is seeking a junior Associate Attorney to join the Corporate Finance Department in our Chicago office. This is an excellent opportunity to join a finance-focused firm that consistently develops innovative and practical legal solutions for complex financial transactions. The work of the Corporate Finance Department includes private placements representing institutional investors, commercial banks, pension funds and sponsors of financial products, such as mutual funds and investment trusts. The attorneys also advise clients in the areas of leveraged leasing (cross-border and domestic), mezzanine finance, project finance, private equity and equipment finance, among others.

The successful candidate will have 1-4 years of experience in corporate transactional law at a large or mid-size law firm. Candidates must be members in good standing or eligible to waive into the Illinois bar.

The ability to simultaneously handle multiple transactions is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal, analytical and writing skills as well as excellent academic credentials.
