The Richmond office of McGuireWoods seeks an associate with three to five years’ experience to provide support to a senior partner with a national and Virginia nonprofit practice and other members of the private wealth services group. Desired experience would include, but not be limited to, handling tax and governance matters for nonprofit organizations, including establishment of charitable and other exempt organizations, tax filings, and advice on the tax rules that apply to charitable organizations, such as the unrelated business income tax, the private foundation and supporting organization rules, tax classification of charitable organizations, excess benefit transaction rules, and private inurement and private benefit rules.
