Junior Associate at ​ King & Spalding (Charlotte, NC)

King & Spalding's Charlotte office seeks a junior associate for its Finance practice group whose practice will focus on representing lenders in debt financing transactions secured primarily by commercial real estate. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials from a top-tier law school and superior drafting and communication skills. One to three years of prior experience representing lenders or borrowers in commercial real estate finance transactions is strongly preferred, including experience (1) working with partners and senior attorneys to draft and negotiate loan agreements, mortgages, estoppels, hotel comfort letters and subordination, non-disturbance and attornment agreements, (2) supervising paralegals in the review of title insurance commitments and property surveys and (3) analyzing property-level due diligence, such as purchase and sale agreements, leases, zoning reports, franchise agreements and construction contracts. Admission to the North Carolina bar is preferred. This position is not open to current law students; the group is seeking a junior associate who is available to start work January 2016.
