The Practice

Operating as a boutique within a top 10 global firm, Dentons' US Venture Technology practice provides nimble, seasoned counsel to technology and life sciences companies and venture capital firms in key markets nationwide, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to providing strategic, business and legal advice, our practice actively engages and connects key participants throughout the tech ecosystem. Through such programs as our Venture Connection(R) Roundtable series and CEO Workshops, as well as through strategic relationships with leading startup accelerators and co-working spaces, we help build client networks and deliver valuable content.

Responsibilities

The associate hired for this position will work side by side with partners on a wide variety of transactions including venture capital transactions, public and private securities offerings, technology licensing, and joint ventures and strategic alliances. This is an opportunity to work with a close knit team and to work on sophisticated deals engaging first hand with executive management. Please note that although there is opportunity to work closely with Dentons SoHo Startup and Venture Tech Centre, this position is based in our Midtown New York office.

Strong focus on securities offerings and public reporting requirements is required

Experience in sectors such as technology, life sciences, and/or medical devices, as well as deal management experience, is important
