The Practice
Operating as a boutique within a top 10 global firm, Dentons' US Venture Technology practice provides nimble, seasoned counsel to technology and life sciences companies and venture capital firms in key markets nationwide, including Silicon Valley, San Francisco, New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Dallas and the Mid-Atlantic region. In addition to providing strategic, business and legal advice, our practice actively engages and connects key participants throughout the tech ecosystem. Through such programs as our Venture Connection(R) Roundtable series and CEO Workshops, as well as through strategic relationships with leading startup accelerators and co-working spaces, we help build client networks and deliver valuable content. Responsibilities
The associate hired for this position will work side by side with partners to counsel emerging companies and venture capital firms. This is a unique opportunity to join the growing and innovative Venture Technology practice of a global law firm, and to work with a team of lawyers who are passionate about their work. Please note that although there is opportunity to work closely with Dentons SoHo Startup and Venture Tech Centre, this position is based in our Midtown New York office.

3-5 years legal experience
Experience in venture capital financings, mergers & acquisitions, and general counseling of emerging growth technology companies and/or venture capital firms required
Experience in sectors such as internet/commerce, digital media, adtech, fintech, mobile, life sciences and/or medical devices is a plus
Other Requirements
Must be licensed to practice law in the State of New York and be in good standing
