The Washington D.C. office of Blank Rome LLP has an opening for a highly motivated junior associate for their domestic and international maritime practice. The position would primarily involve work in the corporate, commercial transactions and finance part of the practice. Candidates should have 1-3 years of private or public sector legal experience involving corporate, transactional and/or finance work. Experience working with companies in the maritime industry would be preferable, including experience with vessel finance, purchase and sale, registration (U.S. and foreign) and/or chartering, as well as experience with Coast Guard/Customs regulatory matters, FMC and/or MARAD. Candidates must be self-motivated, personable team players and have outstanding academic and professional credentials.
