The Washington, DC office of Blank Rome LLP is seeking an experienced associate for their Government Contracts practice. Candidates must have a minimum of 4 years of law firm government contracts experience, or 6 years’ experience as a procurement lawyer in a federal civilian or defense agency. Candidates should have a well-developed knowledge of the FAR and DFARS. Experience litigating bid protests, contract claims, size appeals and related matters is necessary. Some experience performing due diligence in acquisitions of government contractors is desirable, as is knowledge of the False Claims Act, Anti-Kickback Act, and in performing internal investigations. Experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations, Export Administration Regulations, the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States, National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual, and cybsersecurity also a plus. Candidates must be self-motivated, personable team players and have outstanding academic and professional credentials and references
