Job Description

The Houston office of BakerHostetler has an immediate opening for a Litigation Associate in our Distribution and Franchise practice team. The successful candidate must be able manage cases on his/her own and be able to assist on cases managed by others. The duties include the following:

Handle all aspects of commercial litigation, including conducting discovery, taking and defending depositions, motions practice, and trial.

Represent motor vehicle manufacturers on dealer franchise matters.

Work with manufacturers in cases involving establishment of new dealerships, dealership relocations, and terminations of dealerships.

Work collaboratively with other attorneys and support staff to provide excellent client service.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Law degree and Texas bar admission required.

Minimum of 3 years of complex commercial litigation experience.

Experience in trial preparation, depositions, and motion hearings.

Excellent research and writing skills.

Must be able to work within a team environment and communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with clients and other team members.
