The Los Angeles office of Foley & Lardner LLP is seeking an associate to join its national and regional Health Care Practice Group - recently named the national "Law Firm of the Year - Health Care Law" on the U.S. News - Best Lawyers "Best Law Firms". The Health Care Practice Group represents a broad spectrum of health industry clients in transactional, regulatory and litigation matters. The ideal candidate will possess 1-3 years of health law experience with particular strength in health care transactions, regulatory compliance, and fraud and abuse matters. The candidate must have knowledge of the general federal and state health care regulatory schemes and preferably would have significant experience with the Stark law, the Anti-Kickback statute, the False Claims Act, HIPAA/HITECH Act, and Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and coverage rules. The candidate must have excellent academic credentials, writing and communication skills. To be considered, a candidate must hold a JD from a top tier, ABA-approved law school and must be an active member in good standing of the California Bar.
