Dentons' Washington, DC office is seeking a patent agent with 3-4 years or more of experience, or an associate with 3-4 years of experience, to join our Intellectual Property & Technology practice group. The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and prosecuting chemical and pharmaceutical applications as well as experience in applications relating to polymers, various industrial chemical fields and synthetic chemistry. Some chemical R&D experience would be highly desirable. The ideal candidate should also have a strong organic chemistry background. A PhD in chemistry (preferably organic chemistry) or chemical engineering is preferred. Registration to practice before the US Patent and Trademark Office required.
