Sheppard Mullin/Palo Alto, CA

The Palo Alto office of Sheppard Mullin is seeking a junior associate with 2-3 years of transactional experience to represent our firm's internationally-recognized Entertainment, Technology and Advertising (ETA) Practice Group in Northern California. For the first couple of years of employment, compensation will be at a lower “off-track” rate. The Palo Alto-based associate will work on a wide variety of transactions (including licensing, financing, branding, advertising, promotions, endorsement and media production deals for established companies and start-up ventures) with attorneys who are based in our Century City office (including the Chair of the ETA group) and New York office. While no prior background in this practice area is a necessity, transactional experience in one or more of these fields is an asset: corporate or finance, entertainment, intellectual property, technology and/or advertising. In addition, preferred candidates will have had law school coursework in relevant areas of law as well as knowledge of a foreign language (fluency is not required). Candidates must already be admitted to the California Bar. Other requirements are high class standing from a “Top 30” law school, superior writing skills and attention to detail, and the ability to work as part of a team that is based outside of Palo Alto.
