Bass, Berry & Sims has one of the most experienced and sophisticated Employee Benefits practices in the Southeast. The attorneys in this practice advise our clients on retirement and welfare plan design, implementation and administration, employee benefits litigation, mergers and acquisitions, executive compensation, and worker classification and independent contractor issues. Our attorneys also advise employers on compliance with ERISA's fiduciary responsibility rules, structuring and documenting the employer's fiduciary responsibility allocations to minimize fiduciary liability exposure and drafting prudent investment procedures.

Our Nashville office is seeking attorneys with 2-5 years solid ERISA and employee benefits experience. Experience with executive compensation is helpful, but is not required. Ideal candidates have worked for at least two years in a law firm or actuarial firm, or have a background in tax. Must have interest in working in a highly collaborative environment that encourages associates to work directly with clients. The successful candidate is a self-starter with a strong work ethic who prefers a team approach to the practice of law and considers providing excellent service and results to clients their primary goal. Requires excellent written and verbal communication ability and excellent undergraduate and law school academic credentials.
