Job Description:
The Miami office of Morgan Lewis, an international law firm with some 1,400 attorneys, seeks a highly motivated and experienced alternative track associate with law firm experience to join our Litigation Practice. We assign high-quality, interesting work to our alternative track associates as we do other associates, and we apply the same high expectations for excellence. The difference in this position is that it has reduced hour requirements, and is non-partnership track. It is ideal for lawyers who do not want to forgo engaging in challenging work due to a need for a more flexible work schedule.
Practice Description:
Morgan Lewis's Litigation Practice consists of some 700 litigators across the firm's 25 domestic and international offices. We handle litigation and trials of all sizes and complexity in virtually every jurisdiction, nationally and globally, and clients frequently call upon us to act as national and international trial and coordinating counsel in large, complex matters. A significant part of our practice is devoted to steering clients clear of costly litigation through risk avoidance counseling or aggressive negotiation of disputes. However, when trial is unavoidable, we represent our clients in all state, federal, and appellate courts, up to and including the U.S. Supreme Court.
Job Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have mortgage/foreclosure-related litigation and bankruptcy experience. Candidates must possess excellent academic credentials as well as strong organization, writing, and analytical skills.
