King & Spalding seeks a senior associate or counsel for its intellectual property practice group in Houston. Candidates should have excellent academic credentials, a patent bar and a willingness to do a mix of patent prosecution work as well as other patent and IP transactional work. An undergraduate or graduate degree in mechanical engineering or chemical engineering is preferred for this position. Prior industry/technical experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry, is a plus.
