The Intellectual Property Analyst will receive a generous total compensation package. Bonuses are awarded in recognition of individual and firm performance. As an Intellectual Property Analyst at Latham, you will provide your expertise and support to the Intellectual Property Litigation practice group. Working exclusively with the Intellectual Property litigation practice group (with particular emphasis on district court and ITC patent litigation), the Intellectual Property Analyst will accomplish critical functions including:
Organizing, reviewing, and maintaining intellectual property documents and case files.
Compiling documents for filing at courts and agencies regarding intellectual property matters.
Coordinating productions of documents with attorneys.
Conducting searches on production databases for relevant documents.
Assisting attorneys with preparation of materials for depositions.
Attending and providing support to attorneys at court or agency hearings.
Conducting research on court and agency databases including PACER, EDIS and the USPTO websites.
Coordinating with other areas/departments of the Firm where overlap exists to develop efficient procedures/communications to stream-line processes and satisfy various department needs.
As an Intellectual Property Analyst, you will be expected to apply your organizational and communication skills while displaying a positive, high-energy attitude. The successful Intellectual Property Analyst candidate must have proficient knowledge of internal software applications, such as word processing, internet searching skills, spreadsheets and databases, must be able to accurately interpret and understand legal concepts and procedures as they relate to the intellectual practice area and have project management skills needed to manage time well, prioritize effectively, and handle multiple deadlines. Trial experience is required. Experience with Concordance and Relativity databases is preferred.
A Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program is required and a minimum of five (5)+ years of law firm litigation experience as a paralegal or analyst in intellectual property matters. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply by clicking the Apply Now link.
