The Washington,D.C,office of Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP is in search of a full-time Patent Agent or prior USPTO
Patent Examiner with specific expertise in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry to work in the Patent Practice of the firm's Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Responsibilities will include assisting in the
drafting of patent applications and other patent
prosecution matters in the chemical arts under the supervision of the firm's partners.Candidat
es must have at least an M.S.degree in Chemistry or Organic Chemistry; a strong technical understanding of
the issues of pharmaceutical formulations; and at least
two years of experience drafting patent applications
(10 or more patent applications from invention
disclosures). The successful candidate will also have
excellent writing skills and the ability to
produce top quality work with minimal supervision.Prior U.S. Patent and Trademark Office
(USPTO) work experience, while not required, is highly pre
ferred
