The Downtown San Diego office seeks an attorney with 2-6 years of experience working on a variety of land use and natural resources matters.
The ideal candidate would be representing developers and property owners in transactional land use matters involving municipalities. Candidate should be familiar with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), general plans, specific plans, zoning law, local zoning codes the Subdivision Map Act and Coastal Act. He or she should have some knowledge and experience with respect to the federal, state and local permitting process for projects, federal and state endangered species laws, the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Clean Water Act. Prior experience negotiating and drafting agreements with public agencies such as development agreements and reimbursement agreements helpful.
The ability to work with other team members and clients, and "take ownership" of projects, is essential. Top academic credentials and outstanding writing skills are required. Associates already admitted to practice in California are strongly preferred.
