The Phoenix office of Bryan Cave LLP is seeking to hire a patent agent in our Intellectual Property Group. The primary responsibilities of the position include conducting interviews with clients to obtain invention disclosures, drafting specifications and claims for patent applications. This position will also be responsible for analyzing Patent Office actions, preparing and filing responses, performing necessary legal and technical research, and keeping up to date on legal developments regarding patents.

The successful candidate will have 1-4 years of work experience and a Bachelor of Science degree preferably in mechanical engineering, and/or electrical engineering, and/or computer science, and a desire to practice in a large law firm setting. The candidate should be able to effectively manage a caseload, respond effectively to rapidly changing priorities and deadlines, conduct legal and technical research, and work closely with attorneys, and staff. Must be in good standing with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office.
