Attorney - Local Government and Municipal

Parker McCay P.A. is seeking to hire an experienced attorney for the local government/municipal department. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney to further develop his or her practice within a high caliber group of professionals with extensive experience representing New Jersey government entities.
Qualifications: Qualified candidates must be admitted to the NJ bar and have a minimum of 4 years of legal experience. Candidates should possess drive, energy, leadership potential, and high professional standards. Experience with government and/or other public entity clients a plus but not required.
Responsibilities: • Represent local government entities with an emphasis on municipalities • Prepare ordinances and resolutions • Attend and/or participate in meetings with government bodies (typically held in the evening) • Provide guidance on sections of Title 40 and 40A, local public contracts laws, Open Public Records Act and Open Public Meetings Act, and other state statutes impacting local government • Maintain a high-level of proficiency in the most current and advanced planning and legal techniques.
