Hinman, Howard & Kattell, LLP, a multi-state law firm with attorneys in New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania and Florida, is currently seeking an experienced (5 years minimum), full-time Commercial Real Estate and Leasing attorney to be based in our Binghamton, NY office. 
 
Job responsibilities will include:
·        Acting as lender’s counsel in all aspects of pre-closing and closings, including due diligence and correspondence with title companies, surveyors, borrower’s counsel and clients;
·        Loan Document drafting and negotiation; 
·        Reviewing title commitments and underlying title exception documents and surveys;
·        Coordinating with all parties for closing;
·        Reviewing and negotiating commercial leases; and
·        Performing other tasks and duties as assigned in all phases of the real estate life cycle.
 
Qualifications:
·        Bachelor’s Degree and J.D. from an accredited law school;
·        Admission to practice in New York State;
·        Knowledge or interest in various aspects of commercial real estate finance;
·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
·        Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task and meet deadlines;
·        Desire to work in a fast-paced, team environment; and
·        Ability to interact effectively with attorneys and colleagues.
