We are seeking an experienced and motivated IP Paralegal to join us. This position requires someone who is skilled in docketing and in assisting with prosecution and maintenance filings for trademarks and patents. Primary responsibilities for this position include:· Managing trademark and patent dockets which will include docket entry and maintenance of all deadlines and reminders.· Working with attorneys to meet trademark and patent prosecution and maintenance deadlines.· Assisting with preparing and filing of U.S. and Madrid Protocol trademark applications, Statements of Use, extensions of time, Section 8 & 15 Affidavits, and renewals.· Providing support for the patent prosecution practice, both in the USPTO and internationally, including under the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), and assisting with patent application filings.· Preparing communications with clients and foreign associates regarding upcoming deadlines and filings in trademark and patent application matters.· Recording assignments and other ownership documents with the USPTO and WIPO.· Willingness to perform other tasks and projects.· At least 5 years of solid experience with trademark and patent docketing and with trademark and patent prosecution filings· Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate· Able to work independently or with minimal supervision· Strong knowledge of US and International rules and procedures regarding trademark and patent prosecution and maintenance· Proficiency using docket management systems, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and electronic filing systems with USPTO and WIPO· Excellent written and verbal communication skills· Detail oriented· Works well under deadlines and in a professional and timely manner Please send all resumes to nylawjob@gmail.com and reference "Employment Lawyer" in the subject line.
