SENIOR ACCOUNTANT- NEW JERSEY OFFICE:
Regional law firm with multiple office locations seeks a Senior Accountant for our New Jersey Office.
 
Key Responsibilities:
•Follow the firm’s established accounting processes •Support cash receipts activities to ensure accuracy and timeliness of entry and reporting  •Prepare and record entries to the general ledger •Perform monthly bank reconciliations •Support collection activities and monitor client accounts receivable balances •Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations and schedules of all balance sheet accounts  •Provide detailed analyses and explanations of all transactions  •Prepare documentation for external auditors •Provide monthly budget reports and analysis of transactions impacting budgets •Respond to inquiries and ad-hoc analysis •Manage accounting department in absence of Chief Accounting Officer
 
Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance required  •3+ years’ experience in accounting or related field  •Knowledge of accounting principles, policies and practices •Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable •Experience with 3E accounting and billing system •Proficient in Word and Excel  •Strong written and oral communication skills  •Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously  •Strong organizational and analytical skills  •Able to read and understand technical forms and financial reports  •Willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships  •Must be a team player •Must be able to maintain a professional demeanor while engaged in stressful situations
