The McQuaide Blasko Law Firm ranked as the 80th largest law firm in Pennsylvania with offices in four locations, and 70 employees, is seeking to fill the position of Chief Operating Officer.
This position is based in the Firm’s State College, PA office.
The Chief Operating Officer provides the leadership, management and vision necessary to strategically manage the overall business functions of the Firm, as well as the overall operations of the Firm in each of its buildings and locations. The position reports to the Firm’s President/Managing Director and to the Management Committee. The Chief Operating Officer has general responsibility for Human Resources, Benefits, Insurance, Facilities, IT, Risk Management, Emergency Management, Project Management and partners with the Firm’s Chief Financial Officer in administration of matters relating to finance.
Responsibilities of the position must be executed through a respectful, constructive and energetic style, guided by the goals and objectives of the Firm. The position oversees all day to day administrative operations of the Firm and is responsible for supervising all administrative personnel.
Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major course work in business administration, management, finance, human resources, technology or other major related to business management is required.
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Public Administration (MPA) from a recognized college or university is preferred.
Prior leadership experience of Ten (10) or more years in a responsible leadership position in private or public sector is preferred.
Certified Legal Manager (CLM) designation or SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) designation is preferred.
Must be resident of and authorized to work in the United States.
