Associate Research Scholar - New York

The Millstein Center seeks a full-time Associate Research Scholar to take on a leadership research role in the Center’s ongoing research on corporate governance, the purpose of the corporation, and the private capital markets. The Associate Research Scholar will work with the Center’s Executive Director and the Faculty Co-Directors to produce applied research, pedagogy, and other outputs that will assist the Center in producing various research reports. Successful performance will require both assisting with ongoing projects and generating original research; communicating research findings clearly and through a variety of media and formats to a range of audiences in a manner that maximizes impact; and contributing to the University’s wider research and convening efforts.
The Associate Research Scholar will:  • conduct sophisticated and in-depth academically focused research into corporate governance, as well in the Center’s ongoing “Counter-Narratives Project” and “Future of the Corporate Project;” • publish supporting analyses and resources in academic and practitioner-oriented publications, as well as through the Millstein Center’s blog;  • conduct research-related outreach and communicate research findings to relevant professional networks and associations.
This is a two-year appointment.
A J.D. or equivalent legal degree is required. Applicants should have a minimum of three years’ post-graduate training or experience, as well as strong research and analytical skills, with demonstrated ability to synthesize, categorize, and critique data and information.
