Office of Administrative LawAtlantic City, NJThe State of New Jersey, Office of Administrative Law (OAL), seeks a Judicial Assistant 1 OAL to assist in the administrative coordination of case management procedures related to cases heard by Administrative Law Judges; act as point of contact for litigants and their legal representatives to assist them with the procedural aspects of the administrative hearing process; ensure that all judicial proceedings and decisions are completed within statutory timeframes; provide administrative support to one or more Administrative Law Judges; perform other related duties as required.Requires five (5) years experience providing general administrative support in a legal, regulatory or government environment. Completion of a certified course of training from an accredited institution as a Paralegal Technician or Paralegal Assistant may be substituted for two (2) years of the relevant experience. Successful completion of sixty (60) semester hours at an accredited college or university may be substituted for two (2) years of experience.In accordance with the New Jersey First Act P.L. 2011 c.70, effective September 1, 2011, new public employees are required to obtain New Jersey residency within one (1) year of employment.
