Paralegal/Legal Assistant

Responsibilities:

Primary contract and closing coordinator for third-party out sales of newly constructed housing units, including duties associated with contract formation and attorney reviews, pre-closing transmittal's, scheduling, preparation and review of closing documents, coordination of all closing and post-closing requirements, communications with counsel for buyers and title companies, and attention to other matters related to real estate closings.
Assist with all forms of real estate and commercial mortgage financing and refinancing transactions.
Contract preparation, reviews, monitoring and completions.
Land use and development applications and procedures.
Maintenance and updating of corporate record books.
Maintenance of attorney collateral accounts.
Landlord-Tenant matters and leasing.
Provide assistance and support to corporate attorneys and staff, both directly and as an integral team member.
Review, organize and respond to all incoming communications.
Maintain files of on-going development projects.
Conduct legal and business research, as needed.

Highly motivated, self-directed with drive to achieve.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to multi-task and independently analyze, organize and complete project assignments.
Proficient in the use of general office equipment and software applications including Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Qualifications

Minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience.
Paralegal certification or associates degree in related field (beneficial but not required).
Notary public (beneficial but not required).
