Stoel Rives LLP seeks an associate to join the Health Care Group in its Portland or Seattle office. Candidates must have a minimum of three years' experience in transactional and/or regulatory experience involving health care clients. Familiarity with several of the following areas of health care regulation is preferred: Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, Stark, anti-kickback, HIPAA, medical staff, fraud and abuse, and managed care contracting. In-depth knowledge of or experience with HIPAA privacy, security, and incident response regulations strongly preferred. Client base includes hospitals, physicians and physicians organizations, behavioral health providers, pharmacies, managed care companies, federally qualified health centers, medical device manufacturers and distributors, and a variety of healthcare industry vendors. Candidates should have outstanding academic credentials, law firm experience, strong writing skills, and excellent interpersonal skills.
