Litigation Paralegal

The Dallas office of Squire Patton Boggs (US) LLP, a global law firm with 44 offices, in 21 countries, is currently seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal. The individual hired for this position will support our local litigation department and assist clients nationally.
Responsibilities:
Assignments are included but not limited to preparing for depositions and trials; drafting, formatting, proofreading and filing a variety of legal correspondence, briefs, motions, and pleadings; document organization and filing maintenance. Work effectively and efficiently with others as part of a team.
The ideal candidate should be available for overtime and travel as needed.
Academic and Professional Qualifications: Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate or equivalent work experience in a law firm.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
2 - 3 years of Paralegal experience required
General knowledge of legal proceedings and rules and procedures in Federal and State Courts ( predominantly in Texas)
Excellent communication, proofreading, grammar, and organizational skills and attention to detail as well as follow through
Proficient knowledge in litigation database platforms such as Eclipse and Relativity as well as Lexis and Pacer
Superior technological and computer capabilities (specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel)
Formatting and e-filing of motions/briefs and correspondence.
Ability to complete assigned tasks with desired result; work with teams and under pressure; and meet deadlines
