In a first-ever occurrence in our thirty plus year history, a favorite G&S law firm client seeks to hire a mid to senior-level project finance associate (2013-2017) as part of its team and second that associate to a local solar development company. Due to a unique relationship between the firm and its DC-based client, this associate would be seconded two to three days/week to the company for the next year or so to oversee, manage and advise on solar energy projects.  The remaining days, this associate would be fulfilling his/her normal duties on behalf of other clients in the firm’s Washington office.  The ideal candidate will have experience drafting and negotiating energy (preferably solar) project development documents (e.g., PPAs, EPCs, leases, O&M) as well as a genuine interest handling deals related to solar and battery storage projects. *If you are in Big Law and interested in expanding your skills to gain an in-house perspective, currently in-house and looking to return to a firm in a hybrid role, and want to diversify your project finance experience to include renewables, this is a rare opportunity to achieve something that is otherwise unattainable.
