Idaho Medical Debt is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing legal and other services to individuals faced with excessive medical bills and egregious debt collection practices.  Idaho Medical Debt seeks a General Counsel with extensive litigation experience to oversee all aspects of the foundation’s legal practice including overseeing outside counsel and directly representing clients in court in both affirmative and defensive litigation.
 
Ideal Candidate:

6-10 years litigation experience, including acting as lead counsel at hearings and trial
Top law school
Excellent grades
Experience leading a litigation team and supervising outside counsel
Active ldaho bar license (or the ability to become quickly admitted)
FDCPA experience a plus
Passionate about helping low income people facing medical hardship
