Contract and Compliance Attorney

The Opportunity:
In this highly - visible, full time role, the Law and Regulation Attorney will conduct legal review of contracts. They will also interpret laws and regulations and assist business units in the development of plans for compliance. The successful candidate will serve as a strategic partner, collaborating across multiple departments to achieve organizational goals. Other relevant duties and/ or projects may be assigned as needed.
Requirements:• A currentlicense to practice law in the state of New Jersey.
• Five to Seven years of contract review, and/or other relevant experience.
• Prior experience in regulatory compliance and knowledge of the Property/Casualty insurance industry a plus.
• A Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid presentation skills.
• Strong relationship building, interpersonal and negotiation skills.
• Must be results-oriented, able to successfully resolve conflicts, solve problems and exert influence appropriately.
•Demonstrated capabilities in making sound decisions and ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Ability to synthesize research and perform complex legal analysis.
• Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
• Proficient in the use of applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and Westlaw/WestlawNext.
