At InterDent, and in our 150+ affiliated dental offices, we build relationships for life, serving over one million patients each year. Gentle Dental provides high-quality comprehensive care, including general dentistry, orthodontics, periodontics, endodontics, pedodontics, prosthodontics, and oral surgery. We're looking for a seasoned Paralegal to assist with corporate housekeeping matters, including but not limited to, entity formation and dissolution, entity foreign qualifications, state filings, and obtaining EIN's. This opportunity is a Part Time or Full Time, Exempt, opportunity working in our Inglewood, California corporate office. Compensation ranging between $65,000 and $75,000.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform regular corporate housekeeping matters including entity formation and dissolution, entity foreign qualifications, secretary of state filings, obtain EINs
Maintain filings for Fictitious Name Permits, dental board and other regulatory filings, state tradename filings, and location-specific fictitious business name statements
Maintain the Corporate Minute Books
Monitor and track compliance hotline, assist with Compliance Committee matters and compliance program
Assist in the administration of the company’s records retention policy; coordinate litigation hold requests
Assist with internal investigations and internal audits; act as a key resource for projects and company initiatives
Draft correspondence, litigation summaries, basic corporate form contracts and amendments
Perform legal research as needed
Maintain legal department database, organize and manage documents, including the creation of spreadsheets and retrieval systems
Coordinate the collection, review and production of documents for due diligence and for responding to discovery requests
Basic contract review
Research case-related or investigation-related factual issues; coordinate with internal resources in connection with certifications, estoppels

Education and Experience:
Paralegal certificate from an ABA accredited program preferred, or a combination of education and/or experience
3-5 years of significant and substantive corporate paralegal experience as a paralegal/legal assistant in a law firm or legal department setting.
Experience drafting corporate documents and cite-checking briefs.
Experience with regulatory agencies.
Experience managing due diligence projects or document productions.
Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software
