PROFESSOR OF PRACTICE

Georgia State University College of Law currently invites applicants for a full-time non-tenure track professor of practice position in Entertainment, Sports and Media Law to begin in March 2020. This position will teach and serve as Director of the Entertainment, Sports and Media Law Initiative at Georgia State University College of Law. The College encourages applicants with an interest in advancing this program and the College’s entertainment, sports, and media law curriculum.
We are seeking applicants who have significant practice, teaching, and/or research interests in Entertainment, Sports and Media Law. Applicants must have a J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school; a demonstrated ability to produce high quality programming in premier outlets (or equivalent creative activities/demonstrations); potential to bring national recognition to the program; extensive industry contacts; strong leadership skills; and a commitment to student success commensurate with building a premier program in entertainment, sports and media law. In addition to programmatic and teaching responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be expected to offer valued service to the college and Georgia State University, as well as engage in mentoring graduate law students. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and intercultural development in an educational and work environment and be willing to actively contribute to these efforts.
