Top Nassau County Long Island,  New York, Defense firm is seeking to add to their construction associate to their robust construction practice. This position includes and not limited to:  working in both public and private sectors; representing developers, subcontractors, general contractors, specialty trades,  vendors etc.
Scope of legal matters may include:
Mechanic’s Liens
Article 3-a Trust Fund issues
Payment & performance bond claims
Prevailing Wage Law
M/WBE certification & regulation and delay impact
change order claims,  etc.
 
You will be responsible for: construction contract drafting/review/negotiation. 
The right candidate will be familiar with prosecuting contract claims against NYC,  NYS, public construction authorities, developers,  contractors etc. Book of business is a plus, but not required.
