The Labor & Employment Team in Los Angeles seeks to hire an associate in a project lawyer position. The candidate will not be guaranteed any specific hours but generally will have an expected billable hour goal of 1000-1200 hours and will be paid an hourly rate for billable credit hours worked and recorded. The position will not be a partnership track position and will not be benefits eligible. Candidates should have six plus years of law firm experience in a CA labor and employment litigation practice, experience handling single-plaintiff employment litigation. The successful candidate will be asked to assist on more complex employment litigation matters, including class and collective actions, and also may assist with research and writing projects, taking and defending depositions, administrative hearings, and counseling on issues relating to general employment matters. Top level academics and large law firm experience preferred as well as the ability to work independently and remotely
