Entry Level Washington, D.C. Corporate Opening w/No Exp. Necessary

G&S has been exclusively engaged to assist in identifying a junior attorney for a firm’s unique practice and structure. This boutique focuses on tax-exempt municipal bond finance, primarily in the affordable housing arena.  This firm is extremely well known within its niche area of practice.

This position is particularly attractive for the following reasons:

Reasonable Hours: The firm does not have billable hours as their work is project-based which allows the attorneys to enjoy an outstanding work/life balance.

Culture:  Friendly and relaxed.  The partners are committed to training and mentoring understanding that this is a specialized practice area and they will be open to hiring someone just out of law school.

Rare Entry to Boutique Corporate Practice: The number of transactional boutiques in the Washington, D.C. area is extremely low and with limited openings.  This is a rare chance to switch your current practice area or break into the world of transactional law.

Type of Clients: The firm’s clients are household names and the practice is national.  You will be at the same deal table as many AmLaw 100 firms.

Requirements: No direct experience necessary – just a willingness to learn.  Candidates must have at least a 3.0 GPA from law school and have graduated in 2017-2019 from a Washington, D.C. area law school or a top 50 out-of-town law school.

Type of Work: Underwriter or purchaser’s counsel for multifamily housing bond financing, secondary tax-exempt bond offerings and many other general and revenue bond financings.  These financings often involve FHA, Ginnie Mae, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.

Compensation: Competitive with the majority firms of like size.
