Global defense technology company seeks to hire a government contracts lawyer with 5-8 years’ experience to advise senior management and business partners on U.S. and international government, commercial, and supply chain contracts. This newly created position will support one of the company’s largest and most innovative business division with revenues of $7B+ and 23,000 employees globally. A unique feature of this position is the ability to serve as an operations counsel for several business groups within the division. While maintaining your government contracts core focus, you will gain experience akin to that of a generalist in-house counsel for a small company supporting a business division with all of its legal needs.
Requirements: 5+ years of AmLaw 200 firm experience (coupled with current in-house or prior Government experience) advising on the FAR, DFARS, federal procurement statutes and regulations, and bid protest jurisprudence. The ideal candidate would also possess expertise drafting and negotiating government, commercial and international contracts. The ability to respond to a range of legal issues that arise from diverse business activities is required, as is the ability to work collaboratively and build internal relationships.
