Chubb House Counsel Long Island, NY OfficeScopeManaging Attorney of the Long Island office of Chubb's New York House Counsel operation.Responsible for managing the operations of the Long Island office ensuring that quality legal representation isprovided on all matters referred by Chubb Claims and quality service is provided.Supervise attorneys and staff on all matters; maintain highest ethical standards in all aspects of the office's lawpractice and adhere to the Chubb Code of Conduct; maintain cost efficient operations of the office; maintainoffice budget and personnel management; provide strategic analysis and planning for office.Qualifications Candidate must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school and be licensed to practice lawin New York. Minimum of 15 years' experience as an attorney with active civil litigation and trial experience at a high levelof technical competence on cases with complex legal issues before state and federal courts. Preferably, experience should include insurance defense including negligence, New York Labor Law,products and premises liability, automobile accidents, property damage, employment law and errors andomissions. Strong skills in case analysis, written and verbal advocacy and negotiations. Demonstrated organizational, managerial, and leadership abilities through hands on management of lawfirm or law office in private practice, corporation or government. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively within an organizational structure.Superior strategic development and implementation skills.
