TEMPORARY ATTORNEY: Exciting Temporary Position with a major university in New York City.  A highly rated university in New York City is seeking an Assistant Compliance Officer to assist its Chief Global Compliance Officer on a variety of compliance matters related to its global host countries. These matters pertain to initiatives, projects, inquiries and committees. The Officer will provide assurance that the university is in compliance with applicable international and U.S. laws in connection with its host countries. The Officer will be assessing risks and providing training and will also play a key role in Global Data Privacy and Security matters.
The university prefers an applicant who has provided compliance and privacy advice in an academic institutional setting but will also consider someone who has worked for a large organization or government agency.   At least three years of relevant experience is required.
This project is expected to last 30 to 60 days and on-site work is required. Hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.  References will be checked.  A background screening is required upon an offer.
