Our Sr Legal Specialist will be responsible for providing general administrative and legal support for Constellation with an emphasis in contract administration, corporate governance, and compliance. This role will also be responsible for education and training across the organization on key process and procedural requirements within the Legal department.

You will be responsible for:
Establishing a process to ensure contracts and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) are reviewed by the Legal team in a timely matter and get flagged for renewal at appropriate times
Ensuring maintenance of all business contracts
Preparing affidavits or other documents, such as legal correspondence, and organizing and maintaining documents in paper or electronic filing system
Preparing legal documents, including briefs, pleadings, appeals, and contracts
Conducting audits to ensure adherence to organizational standards
Managing and reviewing marketing, advertising and product development
Conducting legal research and prepares corporate and regulatory filings
Reviewing and auditing invoices to ensure data accuracy
Verifying regulatory policies and procedures have been documented, implemented, and communicated
Developing and implementing compliance policies and training pertaining to legal activities
Filing and organizing board documents such as bios, affidavits, board resolution, and meeting minutes
Updating Boardvantage and/or recommends an alternative to ensure materials are updated and organized to improve efficiency
You will have:
Associate Degree in Paralegal Studies required
Bachelor’s degree preferred
7+ years of experience in a Paralegal capacity
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication
Demonstrated excellent organization skills
Strong attention to detail
Background in corporate governance preferred
Ability to influence without formal authority
Ability to persuade others to take action
Insurance industry preferred - specifically understanding of insurance regulations (e.g. experience working with MN Department of Insurance)
